What is a Home Movers Mortgage?

A home movers mortgage is a mortgage taken out when you’re buying a new property after selling your current home or even keeping it to rent it out. Whether your needs have changed, or you’re simply looking for a change of scenery, I’ll make sure you have the right mortgage that fits your needs.

How Does It Work?

Equity in your home

If you’re moving from one property to another, any equity you’ve built up in your current home (i.e., the value of your home minus what you currently owe) can be used towards the deposit on your new property.

Porting

If you have a current mortgage with a good rate, or simply want to avoid Early Repayment Charges (ERC’s), you may be able to “port” it over to your new home. This can be a good option if you’re happy with your current deal.
